This superior hojicha from the NaturaliTea cooperative in Fujieda, Shizuoka was made by carefully roasting ichibancha (first harvest) leaves in May at a high temperature. Compared to hojicha that is made from summer or autumn leaves, this hojicha can be characterised as mild, with a rich and elegant flavor. The aroma when you open the bag is a delicious chocolate. Please indulge in the mellow aftertaste filled with rich toasty sweetness. To bring out the roasty aroma, please steep at a higher temperature.
