First flush of Spring 2010 from a 40 to 60 year old wild arbor tea bushes! Bang Dong Village (邦东寨) is situated in the county Mengku, Lincang prefecture. Bang Dong is a small village not far from the now famous Bing Dao village, at an altitude of 1600 meters. Our production is made entirely from the tea picked by two families and their small ancestral tea garden which consists of tea bushes between 1.5 to 2.5 meters growing naturally. Tea from Bang Dong has many of the typical Mengku characteristics; a high level of aroma, strong and pungent cha qi and kind of flowery aroma. When young this tea is somewhat astringent, with slight bitterness and a thick nutty sweet after-taste. A total of 100 kilograms in total was produced. We pressed these tea cakes with a stone-press and used low-temperature drying to preserve the integrity of the tea. The cakes are packaged in 7 cakes bamboo leaf tongs, and are available in that quantity for a discount. Producer: Yunnan Sourcing Tea weight: 250 grams per cake
