Ilam is located at the Eastern most point of Nepal, bordering Darjeeling with the same climate which gives Nepali tea Darjeeling’s muscatel similarities. Despite Nepalese teas closeness and similarities to Darjeeling, the brewed leaf has distinct Assamese qualities with a Darjeeling-like delicateness with the malty, sweet notes of Assam Tea. Type of Tea – Orthodox Nepali Black Tea. Origin – Sakhira Tea Estate, Ilam, Nepal. Altitude – 4000ft above sea level Leaf Grade – Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe- Grade 1 Harvest – May-July Harvest Brewing Guide- Use boiling water (100 degrees) Infuse for 3-5 minutes.
