Overview
Pairing: shortbread, fresh fruit, or mild cheeses

This is a another special edition Xiaguan Tuocha iron cake (tie bing) made with top grade leaves from the Dali region in Yunnan. It has been aging elegantly in British Columbia over the past 9 years. Chinese Name: 金榜 · 饼之韵 About this Tea: Jinbang · Bing Zhi Yun (金榜 · 饼之韵). "金榜" (Jinbang) refers to the "Gold List" of successful scholars in imperial exams, symbolizing excellence and high achievement. Traditionally pressed cakes ("Pao Bing"): While "Iron Cakes" are prized for aging, a well-aged "Pao Bing" is often more immediately enjoyable as it's easier to brew. The market value is very high for both. Type: Raw Pu-erh. About Xiaguan Tuo Cha Founded in 1902, Xiaguan is a company with a rich history, including caravans from Yunnan to Tibet and a leading part in the development of 'cooked' Pu Er in the 1970s.
