This is a 2013 Spring harvested tea from old plantation trees and bushes growing in Xiao Xi Gui Village (a sister village to Xi Gui) in the Bang Dong area of Lincang. The tea was aged in mao cha form in both Lincang and then Kunming before being pressed in 2021! The aging that occurred while the tea was in loose leaf form has imparted a lightly aged taste, but more importantly the tea has become very complex and thick in the mouth. The aroma is that of mushroom broth and tropical hardwood, and the taste honey and mushrooms with a background astirngent umami taste and long lasting mouth-feel accompanied by a mouth-watering effect. It can be steeped many times without losing its complexity. The cha qi is noticeable and pleasant. 357 Grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong). April 2013 Harvested, pressed in 2021 This tea has been tested in a certified laboratory for 404 pesticides, and is within the EU MRL limits set for those 404 pesticide residues.
