We took its comforting flavours of roasted popped brown rice and green tea and supercharged them with a light dusting of energizing, antioxidant-rich matcha green tea for extra body and flavour. What makes it great: Tea leaves were incredibly expensive post World War II, so many Japanese households added roasted rice to their green tea (called “Genmaicha”) to make their rations last longer.
