A tea worthy of celebration, this blend bucks our usual MO of offering transparent information in terms of tea sourcing (region, provenance, and all that good stuff). While this tends to be better for educating and calibrating tastes across Yunnan’s varied terroir, this tea is about shutting off the brain and just enjoying life. This year’s formula is quite similar to the original, although some teas received upgrades this time around (in other words, bigger trees). But does it even matter? Overall, this tea leans heavily towards the Menghai side of things, with several of our favourite areas and gardens playing a key part. Our mission with this tea is to create the most ideal, yet accessible (price-wise) raw puer we can. This requires a good base material to carry it, followed up with teas that we feel offer an interesting fragrance and pleasant experience. Having enjoyed multiple sessions with this tea in the weeks prior to releasing it, we feel it’s a mission accomplished. $0.16/gram Picking Period: 2024, probably Region: All Over Yunnan
