Flux | Rustic White Tea

Flux has been a long time in the making and I'm happy to say that it has finally arrived! We always love working with our farmer, Lochana from Sri Lanka (also known as Ceylon) and we're particularly happy with this tea. We had asked Lochana to try his hands at a White Tea and without hesitation, he took to the challenge and experimented with a number of different approaches. We landed on this tea after half a year of Lochana's experimentation. The resulting tea is complex with a great longevity. There is a slight perfume-y smell like rose water and a taste that's reminiscent of a slightly more tannic white wine. There's also a note of pistachio that's present on the leaves. This tea has a lot to offer. Rather than blend batches, we decided to keep them separate as micro batches so we can see how the teas change from batch to batch, as well as how Lochana refines his art of making tea.
