While its size and mesh (30 mesh) are optimized for matcha, its compact form also makes it ideal for brewing loose leaf tea in smaller servings.The mesh has been specially treated with a unique surface process called "Kona Tsukaazu" (meaning it prevents powder from sticking). This finish creates microscopic peaks (around 80,000 per mm²) on the metal surface, which greatly reduces powder sticking and enhances flow.
