Pairing: shortbread, fresh fruit, or mild cheeses

Our Maestro lineup of shou puer connects modern production with the earliest days of its development. Overseen by Master Li, a shou puer technician/wizard since 1975, these teas preserve the best parts of traditional processing, while taking advantage of decades of expertise. Make sure to check the About Master Li tab for more details. A fantastic balance of quality and price, this tea is an excellent choice for those who enjoy ripes that have a harder edge to them. Less sweet than the Banzhang from this series, this tea exhibits strong Bulang character, with an underlying bitterness, notes of stonefruit, and a sticky rice quality. Predominantly made from Zhangjia Sandui material (near the border with Myanmar), this tea is bold and rich. For those who hold fond memories of our 2021 Kapow and have been looking for a replacement ever since, then this solves your problem. $0.25/gram Picking Period: Spring 2022 Region: Zhangjia Sandui, Yunnan
