The most floral wakocha in our lineup — sweet like caramel and honey This Koshun black tea has a clearly different flavour profile from other wakocha in our collection. It’s the most floral — with a rich, inviting sweetness that calls to mind caramel, honey, and baked sweet potato. The producer describes it as having a distinctive milky aroma that emerges when tender new buds are crafted into black tea. One sip, and the soft, round sweetness is immediately striking. It’s effortlessly drinkable — the kind of tea that makes you reach for a second cup without thinking. As it cools, the sweetness deepens and becomes even more pronounced. If you know our Koshun sencha , this is the same cultivar taken in a completely different direction. Where the green tea version is herbal and bold, this black tea expression is gentle, sweet, and deeply comforting. Both come from mountain farms in Shizuoka, and both show how much character this cultivar can carry. Best enjoyed straight — no milk or sugar needed. Also beautiful as a cold brew, which brings out an even sweeter, more delicate side.
