Our new favorite breakfast-style tea is pocket-sized: drop one of these disks into a large teapot, or split in half for a smaller serving. Produced in Yunnan Province, hand-picked and sundried assamica variety leaves have been carefully compressed into single shapes; when infused, they yield a rich, leathery aroma with hints of sugarcane, and a very full-flavored yet balanced flavor. It’s a classic example of a black tea from the region, with a broad sweetness that lasts from cup to cup, and a mouth-coating texture reminiscent of a red wine. Steep many times to enjoy the range of this tea.
