This lot (DJ 164) hails from the Thurbo Estate in the lush Mirik Valley, bordering Nepal to the west, with elevations spanning 5,000 feet. Comprised of clonal plants with abundant buds, the beautifully twisted leaves unfurl with a cocoa powder aroma and a taste reminiscent of popovers and savory baked goods, all crowned by a pleasant astringency on the finish.
