This is a handmade whole leaf tea; singularly rich and profoundly delicious. Also known as Zhengshan xiaozhong our Rare Lapsang Souchong is crafted to exacting traditional methods. It is grown in the Wuyi Mountains in the heart of the protected forests. Carefully smoked over barkless pine wood, the tea takes on a subtle smokiness without heavier tarry notes. It is rather more elegant than the rapacious punch of our Tarry Lapsang Souchong.
