What is collected

• Account data — if you create an account: your email address and display name, via email/password sign-up or Google sign-in. Passwords are handled by the authentication library and never stored in plain text.
• Content you create — reviews, tasting sessions, pantry shelves, and profile details. Each has a visibility setting; public content is shown to other visitors, private content is not.
• Preferences — a cookie remembering your unit preferences (metric/imperial) and similar settings.
• Usage analytics — aggregate page-view analytics via Vercel Analytics and onedollarstats. These measure which pages are visited, not who you are.

How it is used

Your data is used to run the site: signing you in, showing your content according to its visibility setting, remembering your preferences, and computing aggregate statistics (like average ratings). Your data is never sold, and there are no third-party advertising networks on Teatico.

Cookies and consent

Teatico uses a small number of cookies: session cookies for authentication, a preference cookie for units, and analytics cookies subject to the consent banner you see on first visit. You can change your consent choices at any time via the banner's settings.

Third parties

• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
• Vercel — hosting and aggregate analytics.
• onedollarstats — privacy-focused aggregate analytics.
• Amazon and tea vendors — purchase links on tea pages lead to external sites with their own privacy policies; some are affiliate links (see the affiliate disclosure).

Your choices

You control the visibility of everything you post. You can export your data from your account settings, and you can request account deletion — or ask any other privacy question — via the feedback button. Requests are handled by the developer directly.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and significant updates will be noted on the changelog.
