Overview
Ba Da Mountain First Flush of Spring 2015 tea leaves were picked and processed into mao cha (loose leaf raw pu-erh tea) and then aged for 5 years in Menghai County of Xishuangbanna before being pressed in March 2020. The storage condition in Menghai was clean with a moderate amount of humidity (wetter than Kunming, but not as wet as Guangdong) giving the tea a nice rounded lightly aged taste! This is strong tea with bitterness and even more astringency! The 5 years of aging prior to pressing has taken some of the edge off and imparted a fruity, thick mineral sweetness. We recommend brewing with short steeps at the beginning to gradually coax out the more subtle aspects of this wonderful tea! 357 grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong) First Flush of Spring 2015 Harvested Tea from Ba Da Mountain in Menghai 100 kilograms in total produced (280 cakes) March 20th 2020 Pressing Date Wrapper Illustration by Alan Behul This tea has been tested in a certified laboratory for 191 pesticides, and is within the EU MRL limits set for those 191 pesticide residues.
