This ripe cake is pressed from a wet pile batch made entirely from the Zhenkang area of Lincang. The tea leaves were harvested in 2023 and wet piled in late 2023! The tea is grown on rocky steep hills at an altitude of 1500-1600 meters. Due to its unique growing conditions this tea has a certain rock and mineral character to it. Sweet, thick in the mouth with a long smooth after-finish. For those of you who purchase this tea during the year of 2024 expect that there will be some wet pile taste throughout 2024, but will fade gradually as the tea ages. Remember that pu-erh increases in palatability and complexity with age!
