For those who enjoyed our 2020 Charmed, this tea is a natural follow up. It comes from a similarly untouched environment not too far away from Mangga (near Shuangjiang, Lincang). This biodiverse and unfettered environment leads this tea to produce a strong taste and body feeling. The fragrance is a bit of a moving target with this one, covering the range of floral, vegetal, mineral and sweet, although not necessarily at the same time. While this tea is not what we would consider a “wild’ varietal, it certainly exhibits what we like to call a “forest flavour” imparted by its environment and (lack of) upkeep. The tree ages in this tea range from younger qiaomu to old tree (mixed picking), while the unknown nature of the region keeps the price down, rewarding those who choose the path less travelled with an excellent value tea.
