Overview
A CNNP production from 1998 blended along the lines of Menghai Tea Factory's classic 7262. Pressed from Menghai harvested tea leaves and also wet-piled in Menghai, then stored in Guangzhou until the end of 2025 (then Kunming). A very nice cleanly stored Guangdong ripe with good balanced storage (neither too wet or too dry). The cha qi is subtle and nurturing. For me, this is a tea drink in the morning first thing on an empty stomach and just let it sink in. Like most ripe pu-erh I personally prefer to brew it in the SAMA flasks (either the MC09 or the MC05 ), using 7 grams and doing a 30-45 minute steep. All-in-all an excellent aged ripe with 20+ years of aging! Note: Wrappers are bug-bitten (bamboo termites from the bamboo tongs) 357 Grams per cake
