Overview
Pu-Erh teas are doubly fermented .After the first fermentation the tea is sprayed with water and fermented for a second time. When this is completed the tea is then buried in pits in the ground and left for at least one year. The resulting tea is unique in its depth of flavour. It has a strong , spicy earthy taste and a rich dark red colour when infused. Pu -Erh has always been associated with health benefits and is shown to carry an enzyme that improves cardiac health. Brew for 1-5 minutes. Water temperature: 100 degrees C. Use 4-5 heaped teaspoons of tea per litre of water.
