From spring harvested leaves, Harashima-san and his wife present a black tea grown on the mountain tops of Yabe Village, Fukuoka. This tea won 4 stars (out of 5), taking the Premium Tea Award at the 2019 Japanese Tea Festival in Tokyo. Ingredients: Black Tea Cultivar: Benifuuki - a cultivar grown for its high methyl-catechin content, allowing it to create flavorful black tea. Harvest: Spring Region: Upper mountains of Yabe village, Yame District, Fukuoka, Japan. Altitude about 600 meters. About the Farm Chiyonoen Tea Farm is a small tea garden operated by husband and wife farmers Masashi and Eri Harashima deep in the mountains of Yabe Village, Fukuoka, Japan.
