Overview
Mengku older tea gardens Fermented in Mengku in Winter 2020, heavy fermentation Licorice-themed tea This is a partially aged tea, the storage was dry, but not too dry. We got it from the farmer who sold us the Mang Nuo single trees tea, he showed up to our shop again with a couple of interesting samples. This one struck us by its quality, and by something that is characteristic of a style of ripe Puerh aging, usually a sign of heavy fermentation, soft material and aging: the licorice fragrance. A comforting tea for sure; warming and silky. It is not too thick, nor powerful. It will flow down your throat easily, like melting butter. It's good to have Ripe Puerh offerings that are not made in Menghai. Each city has its own climate and microorganisms in the air, this will influence the outcome of the fermentation. This one was made in Mengku.
