Overview
This is a Wu Yi varietal black tea called “Golden Peony" 金牡丹 that is typically processed into a roasted oolong tea. By processing into a black tea this unique varietal provides a very satisfying experience for the drinker. Replete with fruit aroma and sweetness, it is also lightly astringent but with thick mouth-feel and pleasant cha qi. We recommend brewing this with 90C water to gradually coax out flavors and aromas. If you are interested in this varietal processed into a traditional Wu Yi Rock Oolong, you can find that tea here ! April Harvest from the Wu Yi Mountain area of Fujian
