Overview
Rougui is an oolong tea from the Fujian province of China. The name rougui literally translates as cinnamon, one of the most popular varieties of yancha [rock oolong]. Every year we choose one or two to best represent what we love about rougui. Layered depth and complexity from the outset. The aromatics from the lid, to the empty cups, to the leaves themselves each express a unique role in a cast of characters. The flavors are reminiscent of spice and sandalwood, with a lingering mineral sweetness that lives in the throat long after the tea is gone. Each purchase is for 25 grams of tea.
