Overview
In 2016 Hai Lang started a kind of crazy undertaking. Collecting 150 kilograms of spring 2016 harvested mao cha from Yi Shan Mo village and having it painstakingly small-batch wet piled to perfection. After 43 days of wet piling in a Menghai area tea factory, this light fermentation ripe pu-erh tea was stored for many months before being pressed (in 2017) into these 1000 gram bricks. Yi Shan Mo is a small Yi Wu village with some of the highest quality old arbor tea in Yi Wu. Hai Lang Hao's own Yi Shan Mo productions are modern classics. the only HLH raw production of Yi Shan Mo that has not sold out yet is this lovely production 2015 Hai Lang Hao "Yi Shan Mo" Yi Wu Ancient Arbor Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake . This is an incredibly complex ripe tea made from the highest quality Yi Wu tea. I have never tasted an Yi Wu ripe pu-erh tea that surpasses this one! Hai Lang is a pu-erh dealer and producer who has been around for 20 years. He's unapologetically direct and cares more about quality and one-upsmaship than he does about anything else. This is a good quality in a pu-erh producer, and it's that very quality that allowed him to undertake the expense and the risk to wet pile such a tea as Yi Shan Mo. 1000 grams (1 kilogram) per brick Pressed in 2017
