Overview
The Phoenix Dan Cong tea series includes a type called Rougui Xiang, or "Cinnamon Fragrance." This tea tastes a bit like cinnamon, which is why it's named that way. The tea leaves are mature, tidy, and dark brown. They have a pleasant, strong smell that reminds you of mountain air. This tea is made using a two-step roasting process that gives it a slight smoky scent. A special charcoal roasting method used by the tea farmers makes the tea look bright gold when brewed. When you drink it, the tea feels lively in your mouth and leaves a lasting impression. If you sip it just on the tip of your tongue, you'll notice a slight sharpness, known as "astringency." The flavor is crisp and deep. Even though it has a strong taste, you can also sense a mild sweetness like honey that adds a refined strength. It makes your mouth water, and a sweet aftertaste slowly comes through, similar to the taste of fresh spring water. With more brews, the tea reveals more of its traits. The aftertaste grows richer, the moist feeling in your mouth increases, and the flavor stays strong through many cups. This tea has unique smells that make it a great choice for tea lovers to try and enjoy further.
