Overview
This tea is grown by our long-time Anxi oolong tea supplier's father in their own family plot in Gande (Anxi). The tea bushes are allowed to grow without any kind of pruning or use of fertilizers or pesticides. The tea is only picked in the spring and autumn and is processed in the traditional method with a light charcoal roast and rolled by hand (not machine). The resulting tea leaves are lightly compressed and easily unfurl during steeping. The taste of the tea itself is very thick and flavorful, with a warm sweetness and minimal astringency. The after-taste in the mouth is also long-lasting and lubricating. If you are a fan of roasted oolongs, this Tie Guan Yin varietal oolong is sure to please! Region: Gande village, Anxi (Fujian) Varietal: Tie Guan Yin Altitude: 800 meters
