This level of matcha is meant for uses such as lattes served in cafes, small scale baking, premium chocolates, etc. where color is important and flavor needs to stand out against other ingredients. The matcha flavor is bitter which helps it stand out against other flavors vs high grade ceremonial matcha which generally becomes overwhelmed unless a large amount is used. The Standard Barista Grade was previously labeled “Premium Culinary Grade”. Naturally Grown Label The "Naturally Grown" series are products chosen by Yunomi Tea Merchant Ian that have been verified to be grown without use of pesticides / synthetic fertilizers. Products may also be certified organic according to the Japanese JAS standard upon request for wholesale clients in Japan, and wholesale clients in other countries who have the proper qualifications to import and resell the product as organic.
