Overview
Tip: start at ~95°C, then adjust down 3–5°C if it turns sharp.

High Mountain Tieguanyin (Winter 2025) A new and refreshing take on the High Mountain Oolong genre, this Tieguanyin Oolong is like nothing we have ever had. Sweet vegetal, tart stone fruit and a fascinating 'Tieguanyin' floral flow from these thick, freshly picked winter leaves. Rarely found in Taiwan at these elevations, the lower elevation Tieguanyin cultivar is usually heavily roasted. This tea takes many of the familiar Tieguanyin taste points but coats them with the fresh breeze of high mountain oolongs giving this tea a smooth, green Tieguanyin experience we have never had in a tea from Taiwan. Both the terroir and cultivar add uniqueness to this one and it is a must try for fans of Taiwanese High Mountain Teas, or Chinese style greenish Tieguanyin. We look forward to learning more about this farm and taking a visit up to this unexplored new tea growing area!
