We're hoping to source a new lot in the future, but there is no guarantee. The high-floral character of the gardenia scenting tames the wild earthiness of the ripe puer. The contrast creates a mild and imaginative mint-like quality with a sugary finish that cleanses instead of clings. The ripe puer tea base was originally produced in Puer City of Yunnan Province on April 15, 2013 by Liu Zhao Quan. It was scented three times using wild gardenia flowers by Mr. Wang Bao Zai on May 20, 2023 in Anxi County of Fujian Province. It was scented using a “wet scenting” technique, meaning there was no drying in between scentings as is traditionally done. This allows the scent to thoroughly “soak” into the tea and remain present over many steeps. Ingredients: puer tea, gardenia flowers Steeping Instructions 4 grams | 10-12 oz water | 212°F | Steep 4 min. Number of Cups 2 oz makes 19 cups, 4 oz makes 38 cups, 1 lb makes 151 cups
