Sourced direct from an organic farming cooperative in Fresno, California, the currants are zante cultivar (a sweet, seedless species), and constitute the majority of this house-made blend. CURRANT is blended to be fruit-forward with an herbaceous citrus element atop a nutty foundation. Steeped hot for several minutes, the blend evokes a strong purple fruit aspect and a sticky aroma of berry compote that betrays its light, refreshing body. Complex sweetness, but no added sugar—only that naturally present in the fruits, flowers, and shrubs. This tisane is blended in small batches with signature drink service in mind.
