This Saemidori single cultivar, first flush, stone-ground, top-quality ceremonial grade from the Tsukigase region in Nara prefecture from the 11th generation Inokura tea farm is a classic beautiful matcha grown in a single estate tea field at 300 m high-altitude. It has a beautiful, deep green (shinpeki) colour, nutty, roasted pistachio aroma, ocean mineral umami, nutty, smooth flavour with an airy mouth-feel and a very light, lingering bitter finish with umami notes. This matcha is best enjoyed the traditional manner whisked in hot water. Choose "Complete Packaging" with information or less expensive "Can Only".
