We're hoping to source a new lot in the future, but there is no guarantee. Dark leaves of austere power. Though lightweight and agile, the mouthfeel is strong. The cup is bittersweet like citrus rind, but has a graceful sturdiness like well-crafted hardwood. Its presence persists, hovering through the exhale. The primary tea for this Dan Cong style oolong was produced May 5, 2023 and roasted on October 9, 2023 by Mr. Huang Yuancai at Wudong Mountain, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. It’s a one bud, three leaf pick of the local Gong Xiang cultivar growing at approximately 3,200 feet. After initial sun withering, the leaves alternate between traditional shaking and being struck by hand. The striking of the leaves keeps the moisture flowing during the process and stimulates the aromatic properties of the tea.
