Chi Lai Mountain Oolong (Spring 2025) The High Mountains of Taiwan have many growing regions and this one is relatively new. Perched on the west facing side of the Chi Lai Mountain Range, this terroir is slightly different than its other high mountain oolong cousins. Stronger and thicker on the palate than many other terroirs with a noticeably sweet/sour tartness to the fruit flavor of the mid mouth, it is a fun variant in the Taiwanese high mountain oolong flavor palate. We have found a new, better and cleaner garden in this region for the 2025 offering of this tea and we are excited to share it. This tea is made from the same plants as the increasingly legendary Chi Lai High Mountain Black so if you are a fan of that tea, this one will be a lot of fun to try! Elevation: 1600m Status: Tested Agrochemical Free, Conventionally Grown Cultivar: QinXin Oxidization: 15-20% Season: May 14th, 2025 Method: Hand picked, processed on site, small batch Region: Chi Lai Shan, Nantou Recommend Brewing Style: Gong Fu Style: 3-5g per 100ml, ~100C water, 30, 45, 60 then add 5-10 seconds steeps in gaiwan.
