Overview
Best pick • solid black choice from Unknown origin
Tip: start at ~95°C, then adjust down 3–5°C if it turns sharp.

Darjeeling is one of the world’s best known tea producing areas and there are many estates and gardens in the region that cultivate this wonderful aromatic tea. Turkdah estate is found high on the hills below the majestic Himalayas on the steep banks of the Teesta river valley and is well renowned for producing great Darjeeling teas. Darjeeling is known as the Champagne of teas, not without good reason and is recognised by different flushes. First flush is the most sought after and generally the most expensive. It is the first plucking of the season and is picked around early Spring time. Our Darjeeling is a 2nd flush from Turkdah Estate and has its own delightful qualities. It is picked later in the season, in May or June and is a little more robust with more developed flavours than a first flush, but still bright and fresh and bursting with characteristic muscatel notes as well as fruity and floral tones with a hint of nuttiness. It produces a wonderful amber cup and is totally delightful.
