While the reputation of Laomane puer tends to be characterized by its aggressive and bitter qualities, this white tea of the same origin takes a different approach. Unexpectedly low in bitterness, this tea offers an engaging diversion from the usual Yunnan white teas. Sweet and savoury qualities jockey for attention, with strong minerality in the early steeps that gives way to a slight fruity-sweet quality in the mid-steeps. Meanwhile the texture is smooth and thick throughout. Made from early spring material, this tea demonstrates a noticeable jump in quality compared to our Õ23 pressing, with a deeper flavour and stronger energy. $0.25/gram Region: Laomane, Yunnan Picking Period: Spring 2025
