The flamboyant floral flavors are flashy and refined, waiting to see if you can possibly turn your attention away. The mouthfeel is perfectly smooth and gives a marshmallow sweetness underneath its aromatic grandeur. There’s nothing else quite like it. Produced February 3-17, 2025 by Mr. A. Dissanayagam at the Mattakelle Estate in the Dimbula region of Sri Lanka. It’s a two leaf and a bud pick of the Benifuki cultivar growing at 4,400 feet. The Benifuki cultivar originated in Japan and was brought to Sri Lanka by our friend Haris in 2005 when he was the estate manager of the Mattekelle Estate. What started out as a single plant is now covering three acres of the estate’s tea fields. Ingredients: black tea Steeping Instructions 3 grams | 10-12 oz water | 212°F | Steep 3 min. Number of Cups 2 oz makes 19 cups, 4 oz makes 38 cups
