Wild grown Jiaogulan (绞股蓝) from Mangshi county of Dehong! Grown in the mountains of southwestern China for thousands of years, Jiaogulan is a wild herb that has been consumed as a tea or in soups. You can brew Jiaogulan much as you would a green tea, pu-erh or oolong. Measure 5 grams per 100ml brewing device (gaiwan or cha hai). Use 90-95c spring water and wash once briefly to activate the Jiaogulan. Drink successive infusions. Brewing time can increase after a few steepings (start with 25 seconds). The taste is sweet with some bitterness to counter it. No caffeine whatsoever! Late-May Harvest
