This is a single-origin, semi-oxidised tea from Taiwan. The Poppy in the name refers to the grade rather than the ingredient and indicates it is a good grade of tea. Oolong Poppy has a dark, open leaf tea which is closer to a black tea than a green with 60-70% oxidisation. It exudes beautiful woody and fruity flavours and a pleasant maltiness hits the tongue as you sip. As well as being a delicious brew it has some health benefits too. Some studies have shown that drinking Oolong tea can help to reduce the risks of developing type-2 diabetes. It is rich in antioxidants and can help support the immune system, boost metabolism and improve digestion.
