Like a bonfire in a cup! Smokestacks is a Lapsang Souchong, a type of Chinese Black tea that is typically smoked over pine trees, resulting in a smoky flavour. When done properly, this flavour compliments the underlying sweetness of the Black Tea beneath it. It usually takes me a while to find a Lapsang Souchong I like. One that has a smoke that compliments the tea rather than mask any imperfections. Smokestacks is smoky, while still being sweet with an underlying chocolatey. A must try for those seeking good Lapsang Souchong. I purchased the remaining stock of this 2023 batch from our farmer since the age has had an excellent affect on the tea.
