Overview
Pairing: shortbread, fresh fruit, or mild cheeses

This 2003 Liu Bao is made from old tree Gui Qing material using traditional light fermentation methods. After over 20 years of aging through multiple storage environments, it’s developed a clear ginseng and medicinal character, giving it the expected profile for a tea with traditional processing and proper aging. The amber-red soup is clean with a refreshing quality, delivering a cooling sensation in the mouth and throat. There is a strong chaqi, notable body, and a taste profile that skews herbal without being heavy. The ginseng notes are prominent and clear, backed by a woody depth that holds through multiple infusions. $0.81-0.87/gram
