Aged initially in China’s humid climate and later in Vancouver’s dry conditions for over 20 years, it offers a complex, robust profile. A gentle bitterness and subtle dryness frame a rich tapestry of aged wood, dried fruit, and camphor, with a pronounced huigan sweetness lingering in the throat. The deep amber liquor carries a smooth, velvety mouthfeel and aromas of wet bark and florals. Perfect for contemplative sipping, it shines in a medium-high density yixing teapot at 95–100°C with short steeps, yielding 10–15 infusions of evolving depth.
