Free and Easy is built to be sipped when the day is winding down rather than starting. The blend leans herbal and caffeine-free, mixing fennel and nettle leaf with wild strawberry leaves, camomile blossoms, orange and lime blossoms, cloves, and pieces of orange peel, apple, ginger root, and cinnamon. That combination is where the tasting notes come from: fruity top notes of lemon, lime, orange, and strawberry, sweetened by honey and apple, with a vegetal backbone underneath from the fennel and nettle. Nothing sharp or bitter dominates — the spice and fruit sit alongside each other rather than competing.
Because there's no actual tea leaf in the mix, this is one to reach for late in the day without worrying about sleep. Camomile has long been used as a calming, before-bed herb, ginger root is a traditional go-to for settling the stomach, and nettle has a long history in folk remedies for relaxation — none of that is a promise of what it will do for you, just the reputation these plants carry.
To brew it, use water at a full boil, 100°C, and give it a long steep — up to ten minutes — since the woodier ingredients like cinnamon and ginger need time to release their flavor. A shorter steep will taste thinner and more floral; the full ten minutes brings out more spice and depth. It holds up fine on its own, but a spoonful of honey or a squeeze of lemon rounds out the fruitiness if you want something a little sweeter. Serve it hot in a mug you don't mind holding onto for a while, since this isn't a tea you rush through.
