Although this is a 2018 pressing the tea itself is 2016 Spring harvested tea from Jingmai Mountain area of Lancang County. Harvested in 2016 and then stored in Menghai for two years as mao cha (loose leaf raw pu-erh), this tea has lost most of it's very young green character. The light aging as mao cha combined with the medium leaf Jingmai varietal gives this tea a fruity sweet character, strong aroma and full body. This is one of those teas that should be experienced as words don't do it justice at all! 80 kilograms in total pressed 250 Grams per cake (7 Cakes per bamboo leaf tong) Wrapper Illustration by Jake Knapp Below are the previous releases of pu-erh tea from Jing Mai Mountain under the Yunnan Sourcing Brand: Raw 2017 Yunnan Sourcing "Jing Mai" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake 2013 Yunnan Sourcing "Jing Mai Mountain" Wild Arbor Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake 2009 Yunnan Sourcing "Nostalgia" Raw Pu-erh Tea of Jing Mai Mountain Ripe 2012 Yunnan Sourcing "Dragon of Jing Mai" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Mini Cake 2018 Yunnan Sourcing "Jing Mai Mountain" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake This tea has been tested in a certified laboratory for 191 pesticides, and is within the EU MRL limits set for those 191 pesticide residues.
