Ceylon Greenlands estate sits in Sri Lanka's Uva district, known for teas with real character, and this FBOP grade lives up to that reputation. The leaf is broken and even, which gives a smooth, thick cup rather than a thin one. In the pot it turns dark and coppery, with a strong aroma carrying through into the flavour — orange notes come through clearly against the black tea base. It brews best with boiling water, left to infuse for about four minutes so the leaf has time to open fully and release that fullness without turning harsh.
