Its aromatics of grilled fruit are irresistible. The liquor is light in body, but has just enough grit to grab you. The cup has a cereal character of roasted oats and wild berries with a tobacco finish that feels like a meal devoured. Produced May 2, 2025 by Mr. Huang Taifa in Gande Town, Anxi County, Fujian Province. Mr. Huang finished it with a charcoal roast on June 2, 2025. It’s a one bud, three leaf pick of the Tieguanyin cultivar growing at 1,900 feet. For more excellent teas from Mr. Huang check out Wise Old Owl, Phantom Power and Quiet Creek.
